Purchasing
Where do we
begin??
 |
 |
Before you
start looking for your new home, you need
to prequalify with your professional
Realtor or a lender so you know what you
can afford to purchase.
Decide what
location and features are important to
you and then it's time to start viewing
homes in your price range that meet your
criteria.
Once you find
a home that suits your needs, the
negotiation process begins. Your Realtor
will present a written offer which will
be accompanied by an earnest money check
to show your sincerity in the desire to
purchase this home. It will include the
amount you are willing to pay, closing
and possession dates, any special
conditions regarding inspections, closing
costs or acquisition of a mortgage, the
sale of buyer's home or requests for
additional information on the property.
If the offer
is acceptable, you will immediately
proceed to secure a mortgage loan, set up
inspections on the property and if
applicapable, market your present home.
Once loan
approval is received, you need to arrange
for your Homeowner Insurance and call
utility companies to turn on services.
When the agreed upon closing date
arrives, you and your Realtor will meet
with the lender to sign final paperwork
for the loan and the deed will be
recorded at the courthouse.
You are now a
proud homeowner and can begin to move
into your new house!
